FAQ

Several people have been asking me these questions, so I thought of making this section in case anyone else is wondering the same :)

1. Have you study photography? I took two clases in university one of analogue photography and the other was digital, but I'm mostly a self-taught photographer, this means I've found my own way to do things and make them work for me. I've learnt that many photographers have their very own particular way to shoot and direct, and there's no right or wrong answer.

2. Do you edit your photos? Yes, I use photoshop for color correction.

3. What gear do you have? Until beginning of last year I used an old canon 30D, now I have a 600D. Most of my photos have been taken with my 18-55mm lens, and I recently bought a 50mm.

4. Do you sell your colors? No, sometimes I give free curves and actions, but I haven't sold anything yet.

5. How long have you been using photoshop? I've been using photoshop since I was 12 (that was ten and a half years ago).

6. Do you give workshop/classes? Yes I do! If you are interested please email me: irene2808@gmail.com

**My advice for emerging photographers: Don't settle. Don't spend money in gear if you're a beginner, remember that a camera it's just a tool, the same as photoshop. If you want to make a good investment, anything you put between the camera and your subject it's a good one, for example: silk, glitter, folders of different papers, etc. Watch new and old movies, read good books, work along other emerging talents, experiment a lot! Take hundreds of photos, and when you get tired take two hundred more, ask for advice&suggestions, look for tutorials (here's a good site www.phlearn.com), create stories to share. Remember, it doesn't matter where you are from, if you know what you're looking for, you'll find a good story to share, believe me on this one! And again, don't settle.
